Description

HR MANAGER 

Position Overview: Directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources function.

Required hours: Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM with occasional Saturdays required. 

Pay Rate: DOE

Essential Job Functions

  • Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures. Prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures.
  • Conforms to EEO regulations.
  • Conducts recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt personnel. Conducts interviews, new hire orientation, monitors career pathing program, and employee relations counseling,
  • Completes exit interviews for voluntary or involuntary dismissals.
  • Maintains company organization charts and employee directory.
  • Monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Responsible for employee corrective actions, write ups, and employee improvement plan meetings.
  • Submits all pay raise recommendations or pay rate change forms.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and other meetings and seminars.
  • Benefit administration.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Performs all other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • Requires general knowledge of employment laws and practices.
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs.
  • Demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.

Education/Other Skills

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Human Resource Management, and 2-3 years direct Human Resource Management experience, OR
  • Any similar combination of education and experience.
  • (Senior) Professional in Human Resources (SPHR, PHR) OR SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred.
