SECURITY MANAGER - Position Overview: The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing daily security operations across multiple client sites, ensuring consistent service delivery and high standards of protection. This role involves supervising a team of over a dozen security officers, managing schedules, conducting site visits, addressing client concerns, and enforcing company policies. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to maintaining safe and secure environments.
Essential Job Functions
· Oversee security operations across multiple client sites, ensuring compliance with company protocols and client expectations
· Supervise, schedule, and support a team of over a dozen security officers
· Conduct routine site inspections to ensure officers are performing duties correctly and post orders are being followed
· Serve as the main point of contact for clients regarding security concerns, staffing, and service performance
· Train new security personnel as needed
· Monitor and manage officer performance, providing coaching, discipline, or recognition as appropriate
· Respond to incidents, emergencies, and reports from staff, taking appropriate action and completing necessary documentation
· Maintain accurate records related to staffing, scheduling, incident reports, and training
· Ensure proper use and maintenance of security equipment and vehicles assigned to each site
· Collaborate with company leadership to implement security improvements and drive operational efficiency
· Maintain readiness to fill in or support staff during call-offs, emergencies, or critical staffing shortages
· Enforce compliance with all workplace safety regulations, labor laws, and company policies
· Performs all other duties assigned.
Requirements
· Prior experience in security management or supervisory roles
· Requires effective oral and written communication skills.
· Have excellent interpersonal skills and maintains confidentiality.
· Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, preferably in a security or related field
· Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team
· Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure situations · Ability to maintain professionalism and composure when dealing with clients, staff, and emergencies · Familiarity with incident reporting, scheduling, and basic administrative duties
· 5+ years’ experience in leadership (Required)
· Police and Military background (Strongly Preferred)
· Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
Physical Requirements
· Sit, stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, reach above and below shoulder level as needed.
· Simple grasping as well as repetitive use of hands and fine hand manipulation.
· Frequently required to talk and hear.
· Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel and crouch.
· Lift up to 15 lbs.
